1 pm: Moderate and fine Weather
4 pm: Showers of Rain and light winds
6 pm: Exercised Great Guns and Small Arms. Worked the Pumps to Ventilate the Ship.
8 pm: Moderate and Cloudy Weather. In 1st Reefs
11 pm: Passed through several strong Riplings. Lead going every quarter of an hour. No Ground from 50 to 60 fathoms.
4 am: Cloudy Weather and light Winds
6 am: Rainy Weather
8 am: Unsettled Weather. Served a Hot Breakfast as usual. Cleaned below. Exercised Great Guns. Up all Wet things to dry.
9 am: Out 1st. Reefs. Caught a Shark
12 noon: Unsettled and Rainy Weather. Assistant, the Packet and two Guinea Men in Company, the other Vessels Steered to the NNE for America. Set Steering Sails.
