The pages from Thomas G. Lytle's Whalecraft website – www.whalecraft.net. Lytle died in 2020 after maintaining his website for almost 20 years. He was the author of Harpoons and Other Whalecraft, a "definitive 1984 reference book" published by the Old Dartmouth Historical Society (New Bedford Whaling Museum).

This is a group of pages that provide access to the virtual archive of the Hellman Whalecraft Collection. More than 375 items are represented in this collection.

A catalog of whaling gear and appratus prepared by the Fisheries Bureau for the 1883 International Whaling Exhibition (London). This transcription includes links to more than 230 images of items in the collections of the Smithsonian Institution. A few additional images have been added beyond those just mentioned.
